Why I Quit Unacademy to Build Class24
In 2022, I made one of the hardest decisions of my career — to leave behind everything I had built at Unacademy and start fresh. WiFiStudy had 15 million subscribers. The brand was trusted. The money was good. But something was missing.
The Problem I Couldn't Ignore
After years in online education, I kept hitting the same wall: students would watch thousands of hours of content but still fail exams. Not because they lacked intelligence — but because the system around them had failed. No structure. No accountability. No community.
Online education solved the access problem. But it created a new one: isolation and zero accountability.
Why Hybrid?
Class24 is built on a simple belief — the best education combines the reach of online with the structure of offline. Think of it like this: YouTube gave you free content. Class24 gives you a complete ecosystem — live teachers, recorded content, offline centers, mentorship, and community.
Within two years, we hit 1.3 million downloads. Not because we marketed aggressively — but because students felt the difference.
The Lesson
Never mistake scale for impact. WiFiStudy scaled to 1 billion views. But Class24 is where I'm actually changing outcomes — one student at a time.
