How I Grew WiFiStudy to 15 Million Subscribers
When we started WiFiStudy in 2016, educational YouTube didn't really exist in India. We were making it up as we went. Here's what actually worked.
Consistency Over Virality
We posted every single day for the first two years. Not when we felt like it. Not when we had a great idea. Every. Single. Day. YouTube's algorithm rewards consistency above almost everything else. One viral video makes you famous for a week. Daily consistency makes you a platform.
Serve the Underserved
In 2016, most educational content was either too basic or behind expensive paywalls. We chose to give away our best content for free โ SSC, Banking, Railway exam prep at the level that coaching institutes charged โน50,000 for. When you serve people nobody else is serving, the audience finds you.
Engagement Is a Two-Way Street
We read every comment in the first year. We responded. We made videos based on student questions. The audience didn't just watch โ they felt heard. That turns viewers into evangelists. That's how 55,000 live viewers happen organically.
The Lesson
Great content wins. But content + community + consistency = a platform that outlasts any algorithm change.
