10 Minutes of Meditation Changed How I Lead
I'm an entrepreneur. I'm always in problem-solving mode. So when someone first told me to "just sit and breathe," I thought it was the most unproductive use of my time imaginable.
The 30-Day Experiment
I committed to 10 minutes of simple breath meditation every morning for 30 days. No apps. Just me, a quiet corner, eyes closed, focusing on the breath. When thoughts came โ and they always did โ I gently returned my attention.
By day 12, I noticed I was reacting less in meetings. By day 20, I was sleeping better. By day 30, I had started making clearer decisions under pressure.
The Science Is Simple
Meditation literally changes your brain โ it thickens the prefrontal cortex (decision-making) and shrinks the amygdala (fear/stress response). For leaders, students, and entrepreneurs, that's not spiritual mumbo-jumbo โ that's a competitive edge.

4 counts in. Hold 4. Out 4. Hold 4. Repeat for 10 minutes. That's it. You don't need an app, a cushion, or a guru. Just 10 minutes and a quiet space.
